What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

One True God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world (Matthew 28:19).

Man’s Sin Problem

We believe every person matters to God. All people were created in the image of God to have relationship with him, but our sin has separated us from Him.  As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts (Romans 3:23).

God’s Salvation

We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is the work of God and is experienced by turning away from our sin and placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross (Romans 6:23).

Empowered Living

We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s indwelling presence (Acts 4:31; Ephesians. 5:18). By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. So, we seek to practice a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right and to obey God’s command to be filled with the Spirit (II Thessalonians . 2:13; I Peter. 1:2).

Empowered Ministry

We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers to effectively share their faith in Christ (Acts 1:8), He imparts gifts to believers to edify the Church and serve others (I Corinthians. 12:4;I Corinthians. 12:11; Romans 12:6-8).

Water Baptism

We believe water baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the identification of the believer with Him in those events.

The old life has passed away and we are raised from death to a life of love and obedience toward God (Romans 6:4-6).

Communion

We believe that communion is a means of remembering Christ’s sacrifice, His soon return and the fact that He supplies all our needs. (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
